A man was arrested from Haryana for allegedly murdering paramour of his sister-in-law in connivance with her and her husband, police said today.

Gajanan Sutar (26) was picked in connection with the murder of Premkisan Pottdar (29) on September 29 in Mumbra township, said senior inspector, Ravindra Tayde of Mumbra police station.

According to police, Pottdar was allegedly murdered with sharp-edged weapons by his married girlfriend Rabia (23), her sister Chavnalata (24), both bar girls, and the former’s husband Budda alias Gulami. Sutar is husband of Chavanlata.

Tayde said that Rabia was having an affair with Pottdar and they were caught in a compromising position by Gulami.

“However, Rabia blamed Pottdar after their affair was exposed, following which Gulami and other accused attacked Pottdar,” he added.

Police suspect that Rabia, Gulami and Chavanlata have fled to Bangladesh.
