Safety measures at stake in running the monorail. The train runs at a height and any unfortunate incident may put the passengers in jeopardy and chaos will prevail. The Mumbai Monorail — The Chembur-Wadala line is facing problems and the phase 2 is not running in the right track. The master
plan for the monorail, designed to improve the transportation system of Mumbai, has been implemented by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region
Development Authority (MMRDA), with a consortium of Larsen & Toubro
(L&T) and a Malaysian firm, Scomi Engineering but for initial rush for a joyride the scheme did not provide much relief to ease out commutation problem in this route. Perhaps, the scheme to come in operation is a matter of time. The experience through monorail is not so encouraging.  It is time to have a proper planning and involvement of Public-Private participation to bring more comfort.
