Promoters led by Narayan Murthy should not interfere in Boardroom activities once they have appointed an independent professional board to run Infosys which is one of India’s most transparent corporate houses. Vishal Sikka has transformed the company which has today overtaken TCS in all parameters and nobody should have complaints in the manner in which he is running the IT giant. Good governance comes at a price and the remuneration issue should be overlooked as long as the company is doing well under Vishal Sikka.
One has great respect for Narayan Murthy and this washing of dirty linen needs to be stopped as it was Murthy himself who imposed faith in Vishal’s capabilities and he needs to back him to take Infosys to greater heights at a time when there are lot of challenges coming from the Trump government. I as am an Infosys shareholder I would request Vishal Sikka to not bother about media speculation and carry on with the good work he has been doing at Infosys by carrying out his vision of 2020 where he has set some tough targets for the company which we all are confident the company would achieve under his leadership!
