The Nepal Police have arrested 28 Indians allegedly involved in grey market, from a guest house in Tulsipur in Dang district.

The police received a tip off and tracked the Indians for a week before busting the racket and arresting them.

Deputy Superintendent of Police of Regional Police Office, Tulsipur, Prakash Sapkota told ANI, “We have arrested 28 Indian citizens from the Munal Pahuna Ghar (guest house) in Tulsipur, the headquarters of Dang district. We had tracked them for over a week and found them involved in the grey business after receiving a tip off.”

The police also said dozens of mobile phones and gas stoves were recovered from them. “We found that they were largely involved in trafficking materials from India without paying duty taxes,” Sapkota added.

The leader of the group was identified as Nanke Sharma of Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh. The police said that the process to bring the accused to justice has been initiated.
