SURAKSHA Health and Education Welfare Association (S.H.E) organized an award function in Malad where journalists from different fields were felicitated by local politicians and television artists. The event was attended by more than 3000 students from B.M.C School, Veer Bhagat Singh, Holy Angel High School, Ryan International School, Billabong High to name a few. Many TV actors like Prerna Gautam from ‘Neeli Chatri’, Golu of ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ fame, Firoz Khan (Mahabharat fame Arjun), Amita Nangia from ‘Hum Paanch’, Ramesh Goyal, Ali Khan, Singers Shadab Sabri, Altamash and many others attended this prestigious event which was hosted by controversial director of ‘Anjuna Beach’ fame Shakeel Saifee.
SHE is a voluntary organization (VO), Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established by likeminded people who are keen to make a difference in the society by working for the holistic development of poorer communities focusing on care for elderly, destitute women and underprivileged children.
Vinay Singh, President of SHE had established the NGO for providing financial assistance to the poor people. The organization distributes foodgrains and notebooks to the needy persons. It also helps those families which are unable to meet the expenditure for medical treatment. The NGO has started medical camps for poor persons.
