India will not play a bilateral series with Pakistan as per the recent developments and as announced by the sports minister Vijay Goel. But the border infiltration and terrorists attack come in the way spoiling a bilateral series between the two countries after a long gap. Terror and a cricket series will not go smooth with Pakistan. However, the two teams are going to meet only in Champions Trophy match on 4th June conducted by the ICC. As the test level relations have been cut off due to the tension prevailing in Indo-Pak border long ago and there is no chance of resuming bilateral series with Pakistan. The decision on reviving cricket with Pakistan assumed great importance for sometime. The meeting between the foreign ministers of both the countries skirted the topic of cricket with Pakistan is a forgotten one. The BCCI and PCB were planning to have a short limited over bilateral series last year. The arch rivals have not played a full bilateral series since 2007 and Pakistan won on the last occasion. The stalemate continues to kill the game.
