Massive victory of AAP getting 45-percent of vote-share leaving both BJP and Congress far behind with Congress also recovering by coming closer to BJP in vote-share, holds that people have started distancing away from BJP after poor style of implementation of otherwise bold steps of demonetization and GST. Central government will have to take all with it rather than imposing its policies in a dictatorial manner if BJP wants to repeat 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Apprehensions about EVMs were removed in this by-election by use of EVMs with VVPAT.
Poor polling of just 131950 in comparison to 188660 in the year 2015 and increasing number of 1413 votes polled by NOTA proves that voters are fed up with present political set-up. It is necessary to convert NOTA in Right-To-Reject (with riders) where fresh elections may be held in case NOTA getting maximum votes with all those losing barred for contesting any future elections. However NOTA-button maybe disabled in by-elections caused due to NOTA-winning to prevent chain of re-elections.
A section of electronic media played safe by down-playing victory of AAP when anchors on some top-ranking English news-channels instead of giving prominence to victory of AAP, analyzed the other way that AAP reduced its vote-share from assembly-elections two years back. They never mentioned that AAP sharply recovered from its setbacks in recent past, establishing their bias in favour of ruling party at the centre.
