A Dindoshi court rejected the anticipatory bail plea of actor-producer Rahul Raj Singh, the primary accused in TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee’s alleged suicide case.
Singh, who was booked for abetment to suicide, applied for anticipatory bail on Wednesday.
Rahul Raj had filed an anticipatory bail application at the Dindoshi sessions court and Pratyusha’s family lawyer said, “Court rejected Rahul Raj’s bail plea. It’s abetment of suicide or murder yet to be probed.”
Pratyusha’s mother added: “Hamein pura pura shaq hai ki use maara gaya hai (I suspect she has been killed).”
Rahul who was admitted to the hospital on Sunday is yet to be discharged.
Mumbai police has not given any indication regarding the arrest. They are waiting for the medical certificate of discharge to arrest him.
Rahul, who is under Dr. Santosh Goel’s observation said, “He still has suicidal tendencies.”
“I cannot leave him now because he can do anything. He is still on medication and becomes violent when effect of medicine wanes,” adding that he is under depression and at times calls out to Pratyusha.
Now, boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh’s brother said that they will approach the High Court in this matter.
“Rahul is innocent. We will approach the High Court now and we are confident that we will get justice there,” he said.
