Doctors need to be given assurance and security for their wellbeing as their concerns are genuine. They cannot give proper treatment to patients in an atmosphere of fear when their mental state is unstable. To err is human and some doctors may have committed some blunders in the past but violence against the entire fraternity is not the solution. Erring doctors on purpose or mistake can be dealt by the courts according to the law of the land.
Medicine is a noble profession and doctors are here to give ‘life’ and a better one at that to the ill and the sick. Let us all respect their profession by giving them the respect they deserve. Doctors too should show respect to their profession and bow down to their demands by returning to their place of work. Strikes in any profession serve no purpose but only create a situation of commotion and hatred. Better sense should prevail and doctors stir should be called off urgently!
