Recent spate of fire in the city is causing concern and the recent RK Studio incident is yet another eye opener. Why the State Government is giving less importance to such sensitive issues, which cause huge loss to human lives and property. With so many fire accidents in the city it is time to follow safety norms to save the people and property from further disaster. Current statistics of deaths and injuries, in relation to fire proves to be alarming and an increasing number of people affected by losses and fatal injuries are being reported and accounted every year. The sets in the studio surrounding should have proper fire security equipment. Fire safety also entails the appropriate use of other tools like extension cords. It is also important that electric appliances are plugged in separate outlets. Open air public functions and film-serial shootings should follow all precautions and fire safety should be given paramount importance to prevent loss of public property.
