It is sad to learn about the passing away of renowned cardiologist Dr. B K Goyal as he was a big name in the world of Cardiology and a household name in our country. He was from an era when Cardiology was not very advanced as it is today and he helped thousands of patients cure heart ailments without surgery for which he was bestowed the Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan by the government. Every third person today suffer from heart ailment due to our elite lifestyle and Dr Goyal’s vast knowledge and expertise in heart ailments not just saved thousands of lives but helped heart patients lead an quality life. Bombay Hospital where Dr Goyal spent most of his professional life should name the Cardiology Department after him as a mark of honour to the departed soul.
