Security has been beefed up in the city following the attacks at Pathankot and routine anti-terror measures have been initiated, the police said.
An Indian Air Force base at Pathankot in Punjab was attacked by suspected Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists on Saturday, following which an alert has been declared in Mumbai.
“We have stepped up security at sensitive installations and random checks are being carried out. Hotels and lodges are being checked for any suspicious person who might have entered the city over the last few days,” said Mumbai Police spokesperson DCP Dhananjay Kulkarni.
