In a shocking revelation, TV actress Pratyusha Bannerjee of ‘Balika Vadhu’ has succumbed to suicide on Friday. The actress hung herself earlier in the day and was later admitted to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Andheri.
Senior police officials said that cause of death is not clear yet. Her parents have been informed, police said.
Pratyusha allegedly took this drastic step due to issues in her personal life. She was in a relationship with fellow actor Rahul Raj Singh and they were planning to get married soon. However, trouble reportedly brewed between them which led Pratyusha to take this extreme step.
Pratyusha became immensely popular after she played the role of Anandi in Balika Vadhu. Later, she quit the show and participated in Bigg Boss 7. She was recently seen in Sasural Simar Ka on Colors.
Pratyusha has worked in TV series Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya in 2014 and was last seen in Hum Hain Na as the main female lead.
