Sorry state of affairs in Tamil Nadu

Musical chair games continue and Tamil Nadu has its 3rd Chief Minister in office as V.K. Sasikala loyalist E.K. Palaniswami was sworn in as the CM amidst high level drama in the state. Can a loyalist whose mentor is in jail do justice to the people of Tamil Nadu and this is the sad state of affairs in our country where people run states administration from jails through a ‘Remote control’. This is a dangerous trend and the court’s should intervene to protect our democracy from ‘goonda raj’.

Voters had given a mandate to J Jayalalithaa to become the Chief Minister but she has passed away. How can E.K. Palaniswami be the CM when the person who got the mandate had sacked him from the party earlier? Mid-term polls should be declared in Tamil Nadu so that people’s choice of a Chief Minister can be elected to lead the State. Modi government should not intervene from backdoors and let the residents of Tamil Nadu have the last say in the matter.
