The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) is mulling naming seven Eden Gardens’ stands after eminent personalities involved with the game in the state like former India captain Sourav Ganguly and late cricket administrator Jagmohan Dalmiya, an official said at Kolkata on Monday.

The other names proposed at the association’s working committee meeting held during the day are former cricketer Pankaj Roy and former CAB presidents BN Dutt, AN Ghosh, Snehasnshu Acharya and Sidhartha Shankar Ray.

“This was discussed in the meeting. Nothing is finalised yet. The office bearers will take a call,” CAB Treasurer Biswaroop Dey told reporters at Kolkata.

“I proposed the name of Pankaj Roy and Sourav Ganguly. This was (Jagmohan) Dalmiya’s wish that stands are made on their names,” he added.

CAB Joint Secretary Avishek Dalmiya proposed the names of Ghosh, Biswanath Dutta, and his father.
