SP-Congress alliance to challenge BJP

BJP is pinning its hope on controversies surrounding the SP alliance in recent times. Initially, the CM Akhilesh Yadav praised the alliance Congress but the SP party cadre is not satisfied with the scratch alliance. Thus the UP Government got off to a rocky start in the first phase of elections.  On the other hand, BJP finds ways and means to mend its ways with coalition partners and the so called ghatbhandan is facing tough time. Mulayam- Akhilesh controversy took heavy toll on Yadav votes and BJP may find it at a striking distance to ensure a high percentage seat share when the third phase of voting takes place. UP Assembly polls, saw the highest voter turnout in Jat and Muslim dominated areas of the 15 western UP districts and that is a good sign. Now opposition is fired up and fight against BJP headed by Narendra Modi.  Coalition politics is facing a ticklish situation and the SP instead of fighting alone was forced to look for coalition partners and the Congress party is feeling the heat and may finish fourth in the running after BJP, BSP and SP.
