Special trains between Mumbai, Gorakhpur to clear summer rush

In order to clear extra rush of passengers in the summer holiday season, Central Railway will run 18 unreserved special trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Gorakhpur and between Pune and Gorakhpur.

Central Railway will run 10 services per week on Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Gorakhpur-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus route and eight unreserved summer special services per week on Pune-Gorakhpur-Pune route.

“Train no 01047 Special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai) at 3.50 PM every Monday from May 16 to June 13 and will arrive Gorakhpur at 2.15 AM the third day,” a release stated today.

During return journey, train no. 01048 Special will leave Gorakhpur at 5 AM every Wednesday from May 18 till June 15 and will arrive at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus in Mumbai at 1.45 PM the next day.

This train would have a coach composition of 18 sleeper class and two general second class cum guards brake vans. It will halt at Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Chheoki, Varanasi, Aunrihar, Mau, Bhatni and Deoria Sadar stations.

Giving the details of summer special services between Pune-Gorakhpur-Pune, the release said train no 01453 Special will leave Pune at 10.45 AM every Thursday from May 19 till June 9 and will arrive Gorkhapur at 11 PM next day.

On return journey, train no 01454 Special will leave Gorakhpur at 8 AM every Saturday from May 21 till June 11 and will arrive Pune at 7.20 PM the next day.

This train would have a coach composition of 17 general second class and two general second class cum guards brake vans. It will halt at Daund, Ahmednagar, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Chheoki, Varanasi, Aunrihar, Mau, Bhatni and Deoria Sadar stations.
