The Maharashtra government will organise a series of programmes next year to mark the birth centenary of veteran singer and musician Sudhir Phadke.

The programmes will commence from July 25, 2018, state Culture Minister Vinod Tawde said at an event on Sunday night.

Phadke, an accomplished Marathi singer-composer, was born in 1919. He died in 2002.
