Three persons were arrested today for allegedly attacking police personnel when they were being quizzed in connection with a complaint against them.
The trio–all brothers–allegedly abused and kicked the policemen present in a chowkie under the limits of Wagale police station, police PRO Sukhada Narkar said.
The trio were brought to the chowkie (outpost) at Hajuri last evening for questionning in connection with a brawl between them and residents of their housing society.
As per the complaint, the trio smashed the glass cupboards at the chowkie and also hurled wireless sets at the policemen, injuring them.
The trio, identified as Santosh Kadam (38), Dinesh Kadam (40) and Sunil Kadam (34) were arrested today under relevant sections of IPC.
They were produced before a court of local magistrate which remanded them in police custody till November 6.
