Three persons today threatened to commit suicide in separate incidents at the secretariat here after they were unable to meet Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to get their grievances addressed, police said.

Dilip More, a resident of Aurangabad, Dinesh Padaya, a Mumbaikar, and Jalgaon-based Hiralal Prabhakar Dhakne had come to Mantralaya (secretariat) to meet Fadnavis and get their respective work done, a police official said.

“More was insisting on meeting the Chief Minister to persuade him to provide some financial help. When he was unable to do so, he threatened to jump from the sixth floor (of the secretariat building) but was caught by on-duty policemen and taken to a nearby police station,” he said.

Padaya had approached the CMs Office for some official work in the Social Justice Department.

“After officials in the Social Justice Department turned down his request, he again approached the CM seeking action against them. But when he was unable to do so, he threatened to drink poison. Policemen later took down his details and accompanied him to the department to get his work done,” he added.

Dhakne, a farmer, wanted financial assistance from the Government. In this regard, he wanted to meet the Chief Minister, but when he failed to get an audience with him, he threatened to jump off the secretariat building, the official said.
