Singer Usher and his wife Grace Miguel have announced that they are separating after two years of marriage.
The couple shared the news of their divorce through a statement released to Us Weekly.
“After much thought and consideration, we have mutually decided to separate as a couple.
We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives,” they said in the statement.
“The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward,” they added.
The 39-year-old singer and 48-year-old Miguel had started dating back in 2009, after Usher’s split from his first wife, Tameka Foster. He has two sons, Naviyd Ely Raymond, nine, and Usher Raymond V, 10, with Foster.
The divorce comes days after Usher posted a series of inspirational messages on his Instagram page. Story.
