Van Gaal gets 150 mln pound ‘war chest’ to win Man United title next season

The new Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has reportedly been given 150 million pounds to rebuild the squad this summer in order to win the Premier League title the next season.

The Netherlands` current head coach, who would take charge of United in July after he takes his country to the World Cup, has reportedly been challenged to win United the 21st title in his first season and vice-chairman Ed Woodward has sanctioned the huge amount of money in order to pursue targets.

According to The Guardian, Van Gaal, who will take charge of the club before their US tour, is confident that he can again make United serious challengers next season after the club`s dismal championship defence under sacked manager David Moyes that resulted in the club ending in the seventh place in the Premier League.

Van Gaal said that it was always a wish for him to work in the Premier League, adding that to work as a manager for United, the biggest club in the world makes him very proud.

The Dutchman said that he has managed in games at Old Trafford before and knows what an incredible arena Old Trafford is and how passionate and knowledgeable the fans are.

Van Gaal added that United has big ambitions and he also has big ambitions and together he feels sure that they would make history.

Van Gaal also said that his aim is to bring United back to the No1 position as soon as possible, because that is where they were under Sir Alex Ferguson.
