Playing a home series in front of capacity crowd is always very difficult and that too after being one down in the series will further dent the prospects. Bangalore test came after the huge defeat by 333 runs in the first test at Pune. The pitch at MCA was considered very poor and it is very difficult to make a comeback in a four match series. Skipper Virat Kohli face the main brunt of criticism and even winning the toss may not help the team to make big score unless the top order batsmen play a sizable innings as their contribution. Rahane is out of touch and the tail starts from Ashwin and last up to Ishant Sharma. Again, India’s total score of 105 and 107 failed to encourage the team to do well. The one man army, Steve O’Keefe made a big leap in the opening test to pave way for the headway start. Tackling pace cum spin attack on slow Indian wickets with shaky openers to start the proceedings is a herculean task and Virat Test for India may continue till the final test, if we wish to maintain our decorum in our backyard by winning at least couple of matches and square the series.
