Everyone knows ‘Desi girl’ Priyanka Chopra and the newest member of the ‘royal family’ Meghan Markle are best friends. But will the ‘Quantico’ star serve as a bridesmaid in Markle and Prince Harry’s upcoming wedding?
That is still a mystery.
In a new interview given to Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, she addressed the question of whether she would be the bridesmaid at the royal wedding or not and said, “If you see me there, you’ll know”.
Whether she’s going to be there or not, the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ star still excited for Markle to tie the knots.
“I don’t think anybody else would be able to do it the way she will. She’s just right for it.
She’s an icon, truly, that girls can look up to, that women can look up to. She’s normal, she’s sweet, she’s nice, she thinks about the world, wants to change it and this was even before any of this happened,” noted Priyanka.
She added, “So I do think Meghan being a part of the royal family is a big step in the direction of so many things; of women, of feminism, of diversity, of race, of the monarchy versus everyone else. It’s a beautiful step in the right direction.”
The 33-year-old prince and his bride-to-be announced their engagement on November 27 last year. They are set to marry at St George’s Chapel, Windsor, on May 19.
Recently it was announced that Lifetime has announced plans for a TV movie titled ‘Harry & Meghan: The Royal Love Story’, a film which will chronicle the couple’s relationship from when they met through friends in 2016.
