The celebration of University of Mumbai 160th Foundation day went in a fitting way. Hoisting tallest national flag in any university of the country took place at an appropriate time and it was the feature of marking a historical day. The sports complex in Kalina gets the much needed face lift as the National flag stand amidst a standout place. NMMC headquarters in Belapur had a tall flag post and now it is the turn of Mumbai University campus. The 150 foot high pole may not be the tallest among the national flags hoisted in other parts of the country, but definitely tallest among the Indian Universities. Sponsorship of National flag is a good cause and it is up to the city based organisation to maintain it during rain and shine.
