In India we generally recognise a team sport like cricket and the athletes are not given pride of place despite their fine show in the field of sports. To break all the shackles Neeraj Chopra has come out with flying colours to hit the top spot in IAAF World Under-20 Athletics Championship in Polance by throwing the javelin to a distance of 86.48 m, an under 20 World record and emulated the earlier mark of 84.69 in style and annexed Gold. This is a great show in a world event and Neeraj proved his mettle with 8th best throw among all throwers, including the senior category to make his presence felt. Success has opened up his chance of participating in Rio Olympics as AFI has sought a wild card for this talented youngster.
