1009 not out from Pranav Dhanawade is a world record!

A thousand plus score in an single innings perhaps would never again be heard on earth and Pranav Dhanawade deserves his moment in the sun for an incredible fete and accolades from sports lovers across the globe. It even drew the attention from the likes of Tendulkar and Dhoni who were all praise for this young lad.

Young lad Pranav Dhanawade has a bright future ahead and the national selectors should take him under their stride and mould him for a great international career. He has the makings of a Brian Lara or Tendulkar and let us all wish him well in this endeavour.

1009 not out is a world record and breaching the 1000 mark in itself is an out of the world feat. The government should sponsor Pranav’s education as well as his cricketing coaching apart from rewarding him monetarily for this great achievement!

Pranav powered his way to prominence

Form is temporary and class is permanent is right in case of Mumbai teenager Pranav Dhanawade. He did make a great impact in World of cricket with his superlative innings of 1009 not out studded with 129 fours and 59 sixes. The manual score board at the lowest level does not have the provision to display a four figure innings but the groundsman made an arrangement to make it come true. His prolific innings at the under 16 level broke many record and the Kalyan boy entered the record books for his fire power innings. In the past, we heard Tendulkar-Kambli breaking the school record for a big partnership.  Sarfaz Khan came to limelight as a 12 year old boy scoring 439 of 421 balls in Harris Shield match in the year 2009.  Big scores in Mumbai school level cricket is a very common but the way Pranav broke the 116 year old record of AEJ Collins score of 628 not out in 1899 is a great achievement. Pranav Dhanawade showed early promise and the credit goes to his coach and the parents for moulding him into a pocket run machine with their application and dedication. Now it is time to groom the boy for the highest level of cricket rather than pampering him for this record all the time and make him a misfit in the next couple of years. Pranav requires the guidance to face genuine pace and subtle spin away from the city as well. Teenage prodigy deserves all credit for his stupendous show.
