MNS hardline stand asking Pakistani artists to return back to their country is appropriate in the present circumstances and should be welcomed by all. It is demoralizing for our armed forces that our men in uniform are being brutally killed at the borders and we are being entertained by artists from Pakistan in the name of culture and people to people contact in the name of peace.
We have nothing against Pakistani artists or their cricketers but we too have self-esteem, patriotic sentiments and love for our country. None of the Pakistani artists or cricketers has condemned Uri killings which truly is disgusting and heartless. We don’t expect them to revolt against their government but a few kind words about those killed and condemning brutality would have won our brotherhood but one is afraid their loyalties are across the border and they should return where their soul is. Yes, we are a democratic nation respecting freedom of speech and sentiments but I am afraid we are humans and patriotic too and such sad ugly events would not be tolerated by Indian citizens.
