According to official data, rising rap in India’s scourge is daily 110 cases all over India. Of which around 10 per cent involve minor girls. Delhi topped the sexual crime list followed by Pune. As India has acquired the notorious image of a nation where rapists are protected and feted by the establishment, while victims are shamed, defamed and threatened. Now, a new distributing trend is that every rape case is painted communal and casiest to diminish the cruelty of crime. Leaders from Left to Right scout to scapegoats to suit their ideological convictions. If a Hindu girl is raped in West Bengal, liberals shut their mouths and nationalists froth at the mouth. If a Muslim girl is raped in BJP-ruled states, secularists move mountains to paint Saffron black. It is a defamed image of India around the world.
