A tough contest

Having enjoyed home test success against South Africans, the real test is on against a formidable opposition and that too in their backyard. Team India failed to win both the one day series and the T-20 series against South Africa and try for redemption on bouncy tracks down under. The much publicised batting strength failed against top class bowling, making the tail enders to fight for putting up a moderate total. The poor run against hosts Australia last season made the matter worse as we could not win a single game then. We do not have top class pacemen to commence lethal attack with the new ball and the more accomplished Shami Ahmad is injured and back home. The crowd support may matter to certain extent but the main problem is that of facing outgoing balls. With an agile wicket keeper and couple slip fielders the going is to be tough as most of the top order Indian batsmen are weak outside the off stump. A high contest is on the cards but how the team tackles speed bowling is the main worry in Australia.
