Comedy may be fun and entertainment but Kapil Sharma is certainly not laughing at the moment as he has been served a demolition notice by the Mumbai suburban collector as his own bungalow has been constructed on encroached notified mangrove area. Cutting mangroves causes ecological imbalance which can have catastrophic affect on environment in future by way of extreme weather conditions. Mumbai today has become a concrete jungle where trees and mangroves are cut recklessly for infrastructure development.
Kapil Sharma’s tweet atleast have brought this serious issue of missing mangroves to the forefront and national headlines though the actor himself is now dancing to the tune of his own actions. This truly is a serious matter and ecologists, tree and nature lovers along with other citizens of the country should take up this matter with senior authorities including the Prime Minister to save environment now that it has become a burning issue at the forefront. Let us all not be selfish and be prepared to sacrifice some luxuries in life so that our future generation too can live healthily!
