India is incredible and so is Aamir Khan and the controversy surrounding his ouster as mascot of ‘Incredible India’ campaign is unwarranted. He has been an ambassador of peace for our country over the years even without any campaigns and his films always sends a valuable message not just to audiences at home but abroad. Aamir is great actor by any standards and we should all be proud of this fact.
His comments on tolerance issue was blown out of proportion and what the media and his critic’s projected was not what he meant. His contract for ‘Incredible India’ may have ended but normally these are renewed if the campaign are in public interest and successful. One thought the government has not been kind on the actor by terminating the contract of a person for whom the country is above everything else in this world. The whole episode could have been handled in a better manner but sadly people love controversies which are big news in our country if it involves a popular saleable actor.
Aamir Khan is ‘OUT’ of Incredible India campaign but he remains ‘IN’ the hearts of one and all. Here is wishing the actor good health and all the success for his future endeavours. The secular actors services should be used by the government in their future projects on public welfare programmes and I am sure the actor would be more than willing to work for such projects without even charging any money!
