Dr. Subramaniam Swami’s suggestion to scrap income tax is cent-per cent right and worth implementing at the earliest. The sensible ‘Chanakya Neeti’ also says that more taxes lead to more tax evasion amounting to corruption i.e. black money. And the later leads to the election funds to the political parties. People already pay number of indirect taxes under various names like service tax, CST, GST, property tax, wealth tax, education cess, VAT and what not. And more than 85% of the Indian population is either poor or from the lower middle class. Minimum taxes also cause hike in morality and the sense of social and economic responsibilities towards the nation.
