It is a step in the right direction to make a mass campaign to conserve water. The situation needs a serious attention and even PM is making a call to moot the serious issue. We in India waste water and thus paying price for the same when a shortfall is felt due to monsoon failure. We are facing such a tight situation and action needs to be taken on warfooting basis. As a matter of fact it is a now or never situation. Today there is a water crisis and drought in the country but we have about 45 days to plan before the arrival of monsoon. It is high time that the nationalisation of rivers in India is undertaken during the BJP regime so that the water problem can be resolved once for all. We find water is overflowing and reach the sea in some parts and in some places people are starving for drinking water. This mismatch is to be managed in the most scientific and systematic way so that the shortfall if any can be ascertained and solved with available resources. The country is reeling under heat wave and that is taking away the ground water as well. It is time we take up rain water harvesting in a very big way throughout the country to find light at the end of the tunnel.
