Supreme Court has given nod to re-examine colonial-era law.  Activist cheered all the way as CJI considered that the matter involves Constitution and hence referred it to five-judge bench as it involves much priority under present circumstances. Love is blind and loving a person of his choice is not a bad idea. If this act of homosexuality is made legal and done in a whimsical way then it will not be accepted by the public and that will bring disrepute to the society as well. However, sexuality is a human condition and should not be regarded as a depravity. A consenting act in private cannot be regarded as an offence. The stigma will be faced by the kin of the homosexuals also. It is harmful to public health and homosexual intercourse raises the risk of HIV/AIDS spread as well in the society otherwise considered safe and there only rare cases of deadly disease. In July 2009 High court legalises gay sex after an 8 year long legal tussle and after the Supreme Court verdict will make the gays to start from the scratch to get full freedom and justice. It is an encouragement of sort for gay sex promoters.
