Delhi is reeling under Chikungunya which is spread in an epidemic manner throughout the capital. As the State is under Lt. Governor’s rule even though there is a state government both the State and the Centre overlook health aspect and that leads to such cruel disease to spread all over. Unlike Malaria it is the day mosquito that causes this illness. It is reliably learnt that almost every hospital in the city are having victims of this dreaded vector’s bite and the patients are diagnosed with high fever, body pain followed by weakness. The treatment between Malaria, Chikungunya and Dengue differs and the health department should have a broader outlook.
