It is a matter of great concern that the autos are going on strike many a time in a year and that causes discomfort to the daily commuters. Autos are the cheapest mode and people, who cannot afford going by taxi prefer three wheelers. The one day auto strike had hit commuters hard as they had to rely on share taxis for reaching their workplaces. The biggest auto rickshaw union of the city observed strike to protest against app based aggregators, namely, Ola and Uber. As the call was given by their leader, the union were ready to protest and show their resentment at Azad Maidan.
