In the face of the international embarrassment over the alleged assault on a Tanzanian girl in Bengaluru, the Congress Government in Karnataks is looking for a cover up of the gruesome incident by denying that the girl was stripped naked and paraded. But in the melee her top was torn and shamed her in public.  As a matter of fact, the mob started chasing and throwing stones at her because they mistook and made a big hue cry, thinking that the occupants in the car that followed were the relatives of rash driver, who caused a fatal road accident, killing a pedestrian in the process. The woman and her friends ran to a shop but the mob kept chasing them and an Iranian came to their rescue, after which they went to a friend’s home and hid there for two days. Mistaken identity has taken such turn of events and the Ministry should own responsibility for the mistake.  Now the women did raise the question when will the violence end in Metros of India and that too in front of the police force and onlookers in busy areas of the city? After all the happenings now there is cover-up in the face of diplomatic tangle.
