Dhoni’s team lacks the tenacity to fight till the end and we have many passengers in the side. The team carry number of injured players also and our bench strength lacks quality players and the selectors are solely responsible for the series loss. After a promising start the team was in tatters and the end came with poor batting display. Despite the drawbacks, we pick a team without our star spinner and that prevented us from winning at Melbourne and equal the series at Canberra. We could not face the reality of the game and we fail like a pack of cards from a position of advantage. Without genuine pace bowlers and a pair of all-rounders we will struggle in instant cricket for some time to come. Dhoni’s days are coming to an end and he proved it by scoring big blob. A captain has to imbibe many qualities to become a great leader. He had to have the nerve of a gambler, the mind of a psychiatrist and a patience of a saint. Dhoni is still a beginner and his team is just a push over at the International level. For the Indian captain it is time to take the blame for the first time in his chequered career.
