The Ratan Tata-Cyrus Mistry slugfest from boardroom to courtroom would be a wealth destroyer for the Tata group in the days to come. Washing dirty linen in public is not in stakeholders interest and some ways should be found for a truce between the warring sides so that whatever issues of conflict can be resolved amicably and peacefully.
The dispute seems to be a family feud as they are related and such things do happen all across the globe. Also, the Shapoorji Pallonji group may be a minority shareholder with around 18 per cent stake but that seems substantial in the money at stake in the billion dollar Tata empire and Ratan Tata should take the initiative to douse the fire which has taken the corporate world by storm. Most Tata companies are run by professional management and the matter or issues can be sorted out if personal aspirations and egos are controlled and put to backburner. Better sense should prevail and here is wishing and hoping the feud dies a natural death outside courtrooms with Ratan Tata and Cyrus Mistry having heart-to-heart talks ending in smiles all around!
