Senior Citizen losing control and ploughs the car into a family opened up Pandora’s Box. The RTO should be stringent in renewing the license of the 70 plus seniors in future to avoid fatal mishaps. The main reason for this is rash and negligent driving. Early morning driving and late night driving all causes serious accidents. Senior citizens have poor eye sight and less hearing power. Motor drivers forget about the danger and drive rather fast and without any concern for the others on the road already. So morning walks have become a death trap. The night driving brings nightmarish experience to the pedestrians. To avoid road accidents proper lighting arrangements should be made in all the roads without fail. It is time to check traffic rule violations of jumping signals, breaking No Entry barrier and over speeding within the city limits. The death caused by a senior citizen in a road accident is an eye opener and the police should punish the erring drivers severely to avoid recurrence of hit and run accidents in the Metropolitan city.
