I am glad to learn Afternoon Voice is celebrating its 7th anniversary. My hearty greetings are due to all the members of the publication team, on the joyous occasion. I wish the collective of the tabloid the best of health, inspiration and every success in its creative and journalistic endeavour.
AV has been an indispensable part of the active print media, and continues to play a commendable role as a critical and constructive voice on the happenings around our society. The vision of the society to which we must advance necessarily requires that media outlets such as the Afternoon Voice continue to promote the ideals of a free and democratic society, providing a public platform for fellow citizens to express their opinions, thus contributing to the strengthening of our democracy.
Any democratic society worth its weight in salt appreciates the need for a critical media which keeps the public informed of developments and enable society to engage meaningfully on matters that are of public concern. Please keep up the good work you all are doing, as the reach and impact of your publication is admirable and praiseworthy. The inspiring articles by thinkers and experts from different fields, the creative penmanship of readers, critiques on movies and sports make us wait for the daily updates. I am confident that Afternoon Voice will continue to expand the democratic space through its invaluable contribution to journalism.
