In a sudden turnaround of events, the Governor of Maharashtra has given the nod to prosecute Ashok Chavan, thus possibly for the first time a decision of a Governor has been reviewed by another Governor and set a new trend. Adarsh Co-operative Housing Society scam has taken heavy toll on former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan, and Governor Rao gave sanction to the CBI to prosecute him under various sections which include 420 for cheating. It is reliably learnt that the then CM gave permissions and his close relatives got flats and that is why the State Government asked for permission prosecute Chavan. The Government sought the opinion of Advocate General before proceeding in the matter for prosecution. Hence, there is no political vendetta and the whole prosecution process went through proper channel. Having suffered the humiliation already and now the prosecution order all put the ex CM on the dock and hence he alleged that the BJP is putting political pressure on the CBI to take action against him. All said and done the Adarsh Scam deprived war windows getting the allotted flats and the ownership was passed on to known persons of the Congress regime. In all the murky picture emerged and now blame game started to save the skin. We realise now it is a house of scam and needs to inquired in proper way.
