It was rank bad pitch for an T-20 game but Virat Kohli’s skill saw India through against arch rivals Pakistan in an ‘Do or die’ game at the Eden Gardens to the delight of the home crowds which included the Master Blaster in the stands. Pakistan’s bowling attack is superior to that of India but our bowlers bowled to their strength and Virat Kohli rose to the occasion to give India a new lease of life in the tournament after a lack lustre performance against New Zealand.
India-Pakistan games has lot of interest and are intense but Dhoni and his men showed the nerves to prove that they are the best T-20 side in the world. Our boys are getting back into their rhythm and our strong batting lineup should see India through to the finals but one hopes the Men In Blue don’t get complacent and overconfident after this win. Spin is the new ‘mantra’ in T-20 these days as pitches assist spin on Indian tracks and keeping fingers crossed and hoping for Team India’s win in the tournament!
