In the wake of Eknath Khadse’s resignation the Maharashtra State BJP win is treading very cautiously and do want infuriate his supporters further. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis avoided public appearances at Pune apparently as a part of a strategy calibrated with the blessings of the party brass after the resignation of the Revenue minister. Even though Khadse fall in line with PM’s instructions his supporters in his home turf are making their presence felt. But in the long run, putting aside the Khadse episode is easier said than done for the state party unit. Khadse’s political clout in his home region is a matter of concern. It will be a matter of tightrope walk for BJP leadership in the state as of now. Right now he is cut to size.
