A bone-chilling video has surfaced from Kalwa station on Central Railway showing a man falling from a local train while it passed from a platform.
The CCTV video shows, the moment he falls from the train, a man standing on the railway station runs toward him in order to save him. But all in vain.
He was crushed between the platform and the local train.
J Jaiswal, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, lost his balance while alighting the CST-bound train and slipped on to the tracks, said the railway police. He suffered injuries to his spine and limbs. He was rushed to JJ hospital for treatment. But he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday evening.
However, railway officials claimed that the victim and his accomplice were trying to escape after stealing from a co-passenger when the incident took place. They claimed that Jaiswal’s associate managed to escape into the adjoining slums.
