Mantralaya revamp

At a time when austerity measures are applied in Government offices, Mantralaya seems to be on a spending spree. The latest budget of Rs.1.99 crores for the revamp of minster’s cabin leaves the authorities fuming and needs to curtailed at any cost. The General administration Department (GAD) has kept the proposal pending. Mantralaya annexe building is in proper shape and needs face lift and not renovation as a whole. To cut cost, austerity measures are on the cards and it is not the right time to overspend and tax the exchequer. The proposal should go through a proper channel and the CM will have a final look before clearing it. Ministers will have to save precious little to save and provide a budget without deficit next month. The existing cabinet with some minor changes can cater to the needs and no overall change is needed.  Expensive make over at Mantralaya needs to be condemned and stopped at once without any further scope for exorbitant spending.
