Martyrs of Maharashtra

From the days of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Maharashtra is contributing maximum members to Indian Army. Out of the 18 jawans who were martyred in the Uri terror attack four belonged to Maharashtra. These warriors from the state are bold and ready to act under any circumstances. We find that the going is tough in Army as the attacks are not on the expected lines and our forces are taken by surprise in most of the attacks. Maharashtra is proud to contribute to the Indian army, and the terror attack on an army camp in Jammu and Kashmir saw many dead and number of them injured and fighting for their lives. Most of the Maharashtrians joining the army are poor and they safeguard our borders. It is a matter of great concern that the attacks are occurring at frequent intervals and mostly young and energetic members are sacrificing their lives. The terrorists are trying to intrude into India and cause heavy casualty in metro cities during busy hours. The role of soldiers from the state of Maharashtra is yeomen to protecting our country and the government should compensate them in a fitting way and offer a job to the son or wife in army if they have basic qualifications. The government should also provide them accommodation facilities as the family lost their bread winner.
