An air ambulance with seven persons on board crash landed in the field of Najafgarh area of South Delhi after both its engines apparently shut down but no one sustained any major injury. It is indeed a freak accident and the all the passengers were saved by the brave act of the pilot. A 61 year old cardiac patient was being ferried to Delhi from Patna in the aircraft. The others miraculously escaped include the crew, the patient’s relatives and a doctor.  It was a daring attempt by the pilot to land on the adjoining road to the field and after touching down, it took off again only to land at a nearby field. The villagers lend their helping hand and the patient escaped without getting injured in the process. Pilot deserves all credit to avoid a fatal tragedy inside the Air Ambulance. Further, he avoided the crowded residential area to make no civilian causality. The mishap occurred when both its engines failed mid-air and the pilot was forced to make an emergency landing despite being a few kilometres away from the Delhi airport and was forced to land in city’s outskirts. It is indeed a miraculous escape for all the crew members and others inside the air ambulance. The cardiac patient got the real shock of his life before being treated in Delhi.
