CCTV camera is a state of the art technology to boost the morale of the people and allow the smooth flow of traffic. Road offenders will be monitored through remote devices and the erring drivers can be penalised.  It is time to check traffic rule violations and monitor them for a better control. We generally observe that motorists jump signals, violate No Parking regulations on a regular basis and still escape without getting punished.  Large number of accidents are occurring on roads in Mumbai.  Installation of CCTV cameras at focal points will serve the purpose very well for nabbing the errant motorists red handed and thereby Police can enforce traffic rules in the best way possible. CCTV cameras will enable Police authorities to monitor the traffic and also know when an accident on the mains roads of the city. The data thus stored can be preserved and it can be viewed several times. Police will be aware about how the accident had occurred and who was responsible for the mishap. Monitoring and tracking of these live incidents and tracking the erring road users will need to be executed in a very systematic and regulated way to exercise the end use of the tapes. Clarity in the CCTV replays is a must to make sure and apprehend the culprit. CCTV application is an useful tool that should be handy to make use of the stored data most effectively.
